AMERICAN SOCCER CLUB NEW YORK RALLIES FOR A 4-4 DRAW WITH SANTA CRUZ FC
The Fighting Tomcats erase a 4-1 second half deficit to inch closer to a playoff spot
“Another terrific effort tonight by our boys,” said Fighting Tomcats Head Coach John Fitzgerald. “Down 3-1 at the half, many teams would have turned in. Then, down 4-1 until the 64th minute, the team still refused to quit. We don’t specifically control results, but we certainly control the effort and attitude that’s put in, and the boys were exemplary in both categories. They displayed grit, managed each setback, and supported each other until the final whistle. The coaches and I are very proud of the boys.”
