AMERICAN SOCCER CLUB-NEW YORK SIGNS GOALKEEPER LOGAN GUZIK

 

Former Patchogue-Medford star joins the Fighting Tomcats for the 2026 season

 
Long Island, NY (April 15th, 2026) – American Soccer Club-New York has announced the signing of goalkeeper Logan Guzik to a one-year deal for the 2026 National Premier Soccer League season. The Long Island native is a sophomore at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut.
“I’m super excited to get started with ASC New York,” said Guzik. “I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to play for this club and put my best foot forward to represent them on and off the field. We have high expectations for this season as we know we have the quality and professionalism to compete with anyone for the top spot in our region this year.”
Guzik was a four-year varsity player at Patchogue-Medford High School.
“Logan is a newcomer this season, coming to us as a highly recommended support keeper in his first season in a strong program at Sacred Heart University,” said Fighting Tomcats Head Coach John Fitzgerald. “We have staff who have had an eye on him, and tout his work ethic and consistent dedication to improvement. He was impressive in the tryout process, and we believe he’s going to be a positive part of our goalkeeping crew.”
Guzik’s soccer resume also includes a two-week trial with the SoccerVisa Player Development Center in Costa Rica, ten years playing for Atletico F.C. New York. He played for the Patchogue-Medford Youth Soccer League and also represented East Meadow Soccer Club in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL).
“The culture that surrounds this team has been incredible from the start,” said Guzik. “We have a lot of local guys all here to compete. I’ve known a lot of the guys on the roster for a long time and know how well we can do this season, especially with Coach Fitzgerald leading us together.”
American Soccer Club-New York will be making additional announcements in the upcoming weeks including player signings and new partnerships. The Fighting Tomcats will open their 2026 National Premier Soccer League season on May 2nd against the New York Shockers at historic Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale, the club’s primary home venue.
