ASCNY Announces Juan C. Palacio-Assistant Coach

Long Island, NY — A native of Colombia, Juan Palacio had an incredible professional soccer playing career, spanning over 14 years.   He played for Independiente Medellín, Tolima, Deportes Quindío, Deportivo Pereira and won the Copa Mustang Championship in 2001 with Deportivo Independiente Medellin.  Juan also played in the Conmebol Libertadores and Sudamericana Cups.

Juan’s transitioned into the coaching realm after coming to America and holds multiple U.S. Soccer licenses, including USSF-A and B License. Juan renewed his A-license in England and also participated in Academy Development conferences with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs. He was also a Head Academy Coach with the New York Cosmos from 2014 to 2020 and has also coached with the Long Island Slammers, New York United at the Lazio Cup in Rome, Italy and is the Founder / Director of Long Island Timberline since 2017.
