With the engagement of the Club’s first-ever head coach, ASC NY is preparing to organize a Men’s team that will be highly representative of the 5 County area.  

The Men’s Team will provide a professional environment for those players – some of the area’s best players – to compete at a high level, improve their game and connect with the larger soccer community.

Generations of top-notch players in the NY Metro area have set the bar – and set it high.  

Can the Club roster goalkeepers that walk in the footsteps of Shep, Dragan Radovic, Tom Henske and Paul Grafer?  Recalling just some of the area’s best shot-stoppers.

Can we field defenders that are the heirs to Werner Roth, Earhart Kapp, Mike Windischmann, Richie Kotschau, Mike Petke, Tim Parker and – a ‘hometown boy’ setting new standards every month in Europe, Joe Scally.

Will the current call to play for ASC NY in 2025 resonate with the next Armas, Brose, Diffley or Rooney and will they bring that quintessential trait of the NY metro area – grit born of NY street smarts.  The Club will be looking for players that ‘fit the mold’ – a group of midfielders that are no-nonsense players and personalities, where the best of them don’t suffer fools lightly.

Finally – who will step up and ‘lead the line’ the way Joe Fink, Ron Atanasio, Mike Masters and Gio Savarese did – each in their own way.   What was the common thread for these three standard setters?  Goals! ..... perhaps the one true currency in the global sport.
