The American Soccer Club New York to call Hofstra’s Captains Field Its Home Stadium

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. —
The American Soccer Club New York is proud to call Captains Field at Hofstra University its home stadium as it launches its inaugural season.

The premier soccer stadium on Long Island will host all five ASC New York home games:

• Sunday, May 4 vs. Osner’s FC

• Saturday, May 10 vs. New York Shockers

• Saturday, May 31 vs. New Haven United

• Tuesday, June 24 vs. Hartford City

• Saturday, July 5 vs. New Haven United

The games kick off at 7 p.m.

Playing at Captains Field — located off Hempstead Turnpike in Hempstead — is particularly nostalgic for ASC New York managing partner Jim Kilmeade. He played on that field for Hofstra from 1979 through 1982, captaining the team as a senior. His name is inscribed on a wall at the stadium’s entrance with other past Hofstra captains.

“The American Soccer Club New York is proud to launch our inaugural season at Long Island’s top soccer venue,” Kilmeade said. “As a proud Hofstra soccer alum, launching the club here is especially meaningful.”
